Katrina George is a Certified Nurse Midwife, IBCLC, and Doctor of Nursing Practice with more than 14 years of experience caring for individuals and families across the reproductive continuum. Prior to becoming a midwife, Katrina worked as a nurse in the NICU, adult step-down ICU, and Labor & Delivery. While working as a NICU nurse, she also became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to better support families through feeding and postpartum challenges.

As a midwife, Katrina has worked in both hospital and out-of-hospital settings. Her experience spans clinical practice, academic instruction, healthcare innovation, and legislative advocacy focused on improving access to patient-centered care. For the past five years, she has taught the next generation of women’s health nurse practitioners and midwives. Her doctoral training focused on improving patient care through evidence-based medicine, with an emphasis on supporting the needs of individuals, families, and their communities.

Outside of work, Katrina loves poetry and writing. She also has an identical twin sister who is a nurse practitioner.
