Jordan Smith, LM, CNM, WHNP
Jordan is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner who brings over eight years of dedicated birth work experience across both hospital and out-of-hospital settings. Her journey into midwifery began at age 17 when she witnessed her niece's birth – a moment that sparked a lifelong calling to birth work and advocacy.
Her approach to care is deeply rooted in honoring the physiological process of birth while ensuring safe, empowering experiences for all birthing people. Jordan's commitment to birth equity and bodily autonomy shapes her practice, as she strives to provide truly collaborative, inclusive care that centers each individual's unique journey.
After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Women's Studies from Chapman University, Jordan pursued her passion for healthcare, obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Western University of Health Sciences and completing her midwifery training at UCSF. Her experience includes working at Pacifica Family Maternity Birth Center in Berkeley and Mission Bernal Midwives in San Francisco, where she honed her skills in providing comprehensive, compassionate care.
Beyond her clinical practice, Jordan brings additional experience as a full-spectrum doula. As a mother of two, her personal birth experiences have deepened her understanding of the profound impact of supportive, respectful care.
