Unlock Oula’s complimentary guide to preconception & the first trimester
I recently switched care to Oula from a traditional OB and I am so glad I did! I feel incredibly heard, respected, and informed regarding every question I have and decision I have made thus far. Oula midwives take care to give real evidence and data behind every recommendation. The bedside manner of every staff member is above and beyond, if only all healthcare providers followed suit. This should be the gold standard of care!

Our Services
Full-service pregnancy care
Most maternity clinics won't see you until well into your first trimester. At Oula, we're proud to support you as soon as you get a positive pregnancy test. We offer in-person and virtual prenatal appointments, options for remote monitoring, delivery of your baby at Mt Sinai West hospital, and even support through the fourth trimester. We’ll also help connect you with doulas, lactation consultants, physical therapists, and all the support you need for a comfortable pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Pregnancy and birth education
Birth education is included in your Oula care. We incorporate education into your visits as well as offer regular virtual classes and office hours, such as our Birth Plan Workshop and Postpartum Office Hours.
Virtual coaching
Meet with a midwife from the comfort of your own home. We also offer coaching with nutritionists and postpartum doulas for an additional fee, and our care team supports you virtually between in-person visits.
The Oula portal
Keep Oula in your pocket between appointments. Navigate key decisions, build your birth plan, and learn what's coming next. You can also message your team whenever you need them. Because the most personal experience in your life deserves a personalized plan.

FAQ
What is a midwife?
Midwives are licensed health care professionals that are trained to provide expert nonsurgical care to women from puberty to menopause. This includes pregnancy, from prenatal care to delivery and neonatal care. While a midwife’s experience and area of expertise is in low-risk pregnancies, they are trained to identify complications and work with obstetricians in emergency situations. For most birthing parents, their pregnancy is low-risk and can be led by a midwife.

What makes care at Oula different?
At Oula, we combine the best of obstetrics and midwifery care. We view pregnancy and birth as natural physiological processes, and only use medical interventions such as c-sections when absolutely necessary. This means you’ll have Midwives and OBs as part of your care team, who are focused on leading with evidence, equipping you with the right information, and trusting you to know your body best. We’re also built with your convenience in mind, providing options for virtual visits, remote monitoring, and high-touch communication. Through the Oula portal, you can book your appointments, track your progress, and make informed decisions about your preferences.
