Chidera Chima, LM, CNM, WHNP
Chidera Chima, CNM, WHNP, is a certified nurse-midwife and board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner dedicated to delivering respectful, evidence-based care for women at every stage of life. She is deeply passionate about advancing maternal health, promoting birth equity, and advocating for women of color.
Her journey into midwifery was first inspired by a transformative mission trip to Ghana during her undergraduate studies, where exposure to global maternal health disparities broadened her perspective and solidified her calling to women’s health. During nursing school, she also served as a birth doula, providing free support to women in inner-city communities.
Before joining Oula, Chidera practiced in New Jersey, gaining valuable experience in both hospital and freestanding birth center settings—training that continues to inform the holistic, patient-centered care she provides today.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Performance from Howard University, a Master of Science in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Rutgers University.
