Dr. Mitchell Spahn, MD

Dr. Mitchell Spahn is a board-certified OBGYN at Oula Cotswold with more than 35 years of experience caring for women and families. Having delivered nearly 5,000 babies throughout his career, he brings a wealth of clinical experience and a deep commitment to building lasting relationships with his patients.

Throughout his career, Dr. Spahn has held numerous clinical and physician leadership roles, including serving as Chairman of the Department of OBGYN and Chief Medical Officer at Madison Health Hospital. He has also served as a clinical instructor at The Ohio State University and has been recognized for both teaching and clinical excellence. He was drawn to Oula’s collaborative care model and its approach to creating meaningful partnerships between patients and their care teams.

Dr. Spahn earned his BA in Chemistry from Indiana University and his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine before completing his OBGYN residency at Mount Carmel Medical Center. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife of 42 years and their two sons, as well as cooking, gardening, and bluegrass music. He also plays the banjo, guitar, mandolin, and fiddle.
