Georgette Paulycarpe, LM, CNM
Georgette Paulycarpe, is a Certified Nurse Midwife and a Family Nurse Practitioner from Brooklyn, NY.
Georgette began her nursing career at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center before most recently serving as a Labor and Delivery nurse at NYU Langone Health. She is also a Certified Lamaze Childbirth Educator with years of preparing parents for labor, birth and postpartum care. Throughout her nursing career, Georgette has been passionate about advocating against racism in healthcare, particularly in obstetrics. She decided to become a midwife to improve maternity care and outcomes for Black and marginalized people in NYC.
As a midwife, Georgette’s goal is to provide safe, culturally-centered, holistic care. Her goals align with Oula’s core values and mission to radicalize maternity care everywhere, and she could not be more excited to be a part of the Oula team.
Georgette received her MS in Nursing from the College of Mount Saint Vincent, an Advanced Certificate of Midwifery from SUNY Downstate Midwifery, and her BS in Nursing from the University of Delaware.
