Maria Chopivsky
Maria Chopivsky, CNM, MSN, is a Certified Nurse Midwife who has been supporting women and families for over a decade. Her approach to care is rooted in education, compassion, and trust—empowering patients to connect with their intuition and feel confident throughout their reproductive journey. She brings both clinical expertise and heartfelt presence to every birth, viewing it as an intimate and transformational experience.
Before joining Oula, Maria worked as a midwife at Northern Westchester Hospital and as a perinatal nurse at the University of California San Francisco, where she supported patients through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. She earned her Master’s in Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University. Her training spans hospitals, birth centers, and home birth settings, giving her a deep appreciation for personalized, evidence-based care across diverse experiences.
Maria’s passion for postpartum wellness has shaped much of her work—she co-created a course with other women’s health professionals to help new mothers understand their bodies and navigate the fourth trimester with confidence. She was drawn to Oula for its commitment to addressing the systemic issues contributing to the maternal health crisis in the U.S. and for building a model of care that truly centers patients and providers alike.
