Rochelle Lipshutz, LM, CNM
Rochelle Lipshutz, CNM is a Certified Nurse Midwife with decades of experience as a midwife and has attended over 4,000 births. Through her career as a midwife she has taught nursing, midwifery, and nurse practitioner students, mentored family medicine and OB/GYN residents, served as a leader in collaborative care.
Rochelle is passionate about joining Oula because she deeply believes in the mission of building a strong collaborative practices that are accessible to all. She is committed to creating an environment that supports patient choice while offering the best evidence-based guidance to help families in their reproductive journey lead healthy, happy lives.
Prior to Oula, Rochelle was the Director of Midwifery Services at Mount Sinai Hospital, and the before that at Beth Israel Medical Center. She has held teaching positions at Columbia University and New York University’s Midwifery Program. Rochelle received her Master’s in Nursing from SUNY at Stonybrook and certificate of Nurse/Midwifery from SUNY Downstate.
