Midwife She / Her
“I love the combination of emotions I experience at a birth – feeling like it’s the most normal thing and also being 100% awed by the capacity of the human body.”

Bronwyn Fleming-Jones, CNM is a Certified Nurse Midwife. She is passionate about working with families to educate, empower, cheerlead, and bear witness to the astonishing miracle that is pregnancy and birth.

Ever since she was a child, she envisioned being in the healthcare field. While studying Global Health and International Development, Bronwyn traveled to Uganda where she first encountered midwives. She was in awe of how capable and compassionate the midwives were in such a low resource setting and of how powerful the women were under dire circumstances. That experience inspired her to become a birthworker, first as a doula and more recently a midwife.

Bronwyn is eager to offer personalized care to a diverse community of pregnant people. She is looking forward to being a part of an intimate team at Oula and getting to know her patients and their families better. Prior to Oula, Bronwyn worked at larger institutions including Planned Parenthood, HHC Jacobi, and most recently NYU Langone. Bronwyn received her M.S in Nurse-Midwifery from Yale University, and her B.S. in Global Health and International Development from University of Vermont.
